Media reports say that that bed-blocking has reached record levels in the Borders.
Scottish Borders MSP, Rachael Hamilton, said: “The SNP Government must step in with extra funding and a better plan to tackle the problem of bed-blocking now that it has reached a new record level in the Borders.
“This sorry situation is the consequence of Humza Yousaf failing to give our NHS the necessary resources and leadership.
"The onus is on the SNP Government to fix this long-running systemic issue. It shouldn't be left to hardworking NHS staff or patients who need medical treatment to fix it."
Scottish Borders MP, John Lamont, said: "Humza Yousaf has left our NHS in crisis. Bed-blocking in the Borders has hit a record level.
"The SNP must take responsibility and give our NHS the support it needs to tackle this worsening problem."
