Part of Kelso Civic Week saw the opening of an art exhibition of local artwork in Kelso Town Hall.
Rachael Hamilton MSP took part in the event by opening the art exhibition. Also in attendance were Craig Logan, Chairman Eric Paxton, Provost Dean Wetherston and other members of the Kelso Art Group.
Kelso Week was inaugurated in 1937 and includes a raft race, sports, gymkhana, concerts and rideouts to neighbouring villages.
Rachael Hamilton MSP for member for Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency said:
‘Kelso Civic week is yet another fantastic event that the Borders hosts. It’s fantastic that it is still going after all these years and I am really grateful to have been invited along to take a small part in it.
‘Weeks like this are so important because they bring our communities together. They offer a chance to let us acknowledge what we all have in common and provide that sense of comradeship we have in the Borders.
‘This exhibition highlights the fantastic talent that we have here in the Borders.’
