Rachael Hamilton MSP for Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire wore pink to support Breast Cancer Now.
Breast Cancer Now is the UK’s largest breast cancer charity.
‘Wear it Pink’ will take place on Friday 20th October. The day is to encourage people to wear pink clothing in their communities, schools or work place to raise money and awareness.
Since the first event in 2002, over £30 million has been raised to fund life-saving research which is discovering how to prevent, detect and treat cancer.
Rachael Hamilton MSP said:
‘It’s really important to raise awareness about this important issue.
'Wearing pink is an easy thing to do and I encourage everyone in the Scottish Borders to do it come 20th October.
‘Breast Cancer Now do fantastic work to help discover, detect and treat cancer. Let’s all get involved and help Breast Cancer Now keep on doing their great work.’
